On Saturday March 28th the STLMS rolled into Needmore Speedway for its first stop of 2015. There was a large crowd on hand for the event which was the season opener for the track. Next up was the 40 lap ...A-main and when the green flag waved Carter jump out front and built a commanding lead. The first caution waved on lap 22 when Colby Boyett made contact with the back straightaway wall when Carter was attempting to maneuver around him in lap traffic. Boyett made contact with the right front of Carters machine. Carters machine did not appear to receive any significant damage. On the restart Carter continued to lead the field. Gene Ross and Ivedent Lloyd had a intense battle going on for the second position. Ross and Lloyd ran nose to tail lap after lap, as the race went on and stayed green Lloyd was able to get under and along side of Ross but was not quite able to make the pass for position. When the Checkered flag waved it was Travis Carter picking up his first every STLMS win and the victory also locked him into the TOP GUN SHOOTOUT that will be at Needmore Speedway in November.
