The Southern Thunder Late Model Series made its first stop of 2014 at Cochran Motor Speedway on Saturday April 26th for the April Johnson memorial race. The capacity crowd witnessed some great racing action between drivers from all over the southeast. When the checkered flag waved it was Montana Dudley picking up the win. Josh Southerland, the current points leader of the STLMS, finished 2nd.The 16 year old driver Pearson Lee Williams had a strong run and finished third. We would like to thank the fans and race teams for their continued support of the STLMS. We would also like to thank Chris Martin, Billy Lyles, Jason Lyles, and the staff of Cochran Motor Speedway for their hard work that made this show a successful event. The next event for the STLMS is at Dixieland Dirt Track in Cottonwood Alabama on June 14th 2014.
